Shalom from Scott and Debbie

Shalom!
It is a beautiful seventy degrees at the Sea of Galilee this morning. The air is fresh and the water is lovely and surrounded by hills. Our hotel is right on the water. It has large palm trees and flowering trees on the patio that borders the sea. Everyone is filled with excitement at what the Lord is going to teach us today.

"The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Phillip, He said to him, "Follow Me."" (John 1:43).

Our trip from the airport to Galilee was two hours approx. 87 kilometers. What a walk that must have been! On the way the highway was lined with large flowering bushes of pink and white flowers. We even passed an orange grove. The landscape boasts of large stones and terraced hills. It seems the housing is stone. The architecture is interesting and not the cookie cutter subdivisions back home. The houses are built on the terrace levels and have a boxy look, large windows with no glass on porches, and little vegetation in their yards (if they have a yard). We passed some larger cities along the way and were told we'd hear all about them this week. We did see a couple familiar sites: the Nestle factory is here. It reminded my of "The Chocolate Factory" of Veggie Tale fame. We also saw a couple of McDonalds.

Time to get on the bus. Thank you for your prayers. We love you all! Hello Nathan, Amanda, Abigael, and Anastasia and Betty and Scott. WE LOVE YOU. God be with you. xo's

Blessings to you all. I've been praying for your safe arrival and for a wonderful time. Thank you for taking time out to share with us what you are seeing and doing.

The puppet team will be praying for you all tonight. We will be working on a VBS skit about the Israelites and their "hot and thirsty" travels through the desert.

Kitty, it is exciting to think about how this trip will add even more joy to your wrap up on our skits each day of VBS!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEBBIE & SCOTT! Have a wonderful time.

Love Madonna
